Position Description: The following information describes
the general nature and level of work performed by employees
within this job classification. It is not designed to contain

The work environment is professional in an office setting
within the design district of Dallas, Texas. Clients are
professional business owners, graphics designers and heads
of organizations who design high-quality printing and business
marketing materials.
Definition: Provides administrative, clerical, and sales/service
support task in support of a graphics design and printing
business. Knows and uses working knowledge of general business
concepts, office practices/procedures to provide the administrative
duties including office management, customer interface
and basic technical support. Work with business owner,
sales personnel and other staff (as appropriate) to provide
clerical support, phone support, product packaging for
delivery, customer research. The successful candidate will
have the flexibility to take on new assignments that are
consistent with his/her skills in order to address urgent
business needs. Takes a pro-active approach to problem-solving
and addressing business challenges. Looks for ways to improve
the business processes to ensure greater profitability
and long-term success.
Required Tasks:
- Greet visitors and respond to basic customer questions
relating to products and services (with some on-the-job
training). Must be able to learn quickly.
- Respond to phone and email queries relating to products
and services, with assistance from sales representative
and graphics designer. Must be a strong verbal and written
communicator, able to communicate with people at all business
levels with ease and professionalism.
- Filing, organizing file systems, operate office equipment
and specialized print equipment (with assistance from graphics
designer).
- Perform basic customer service duties such as:
• answering or relaying customer questions to the
appropriate person
• checking the status of an order
• following up with customers to ensure satisfaction
• taking additional orders as needed
- Use Microsoft word to create letters, files and other
business documents
- Use basic Excel and PowerPoint to create spreadsheets
and presentations to customers
- Demonstrate solid business ethics, reliability, integrity
and ability to work in a cohesive manner with customer,
business partners, and other members of the team. Accept
constructive criticism with a positive resilient spirit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum entry qualifications require
high school diploma, GED or equivalent, plus five years
of experience in general clerical/secretarial.
Proficiency in Spanish helpful, but not required.
